- How do I view my reservation?
- Use this link to view, modify, or cancel your reservation.
- What is check in/check out time?
- Check-in time is from 3 pm, and check-out time is 12 noon.
- Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?
- There is no smoking allowed inside the property, including in all guestrooms; however, you may smoke on the pool deck. Smoking fee in the room subject to a $300 fee.
- How much do you charge for high-speed/WiFi Internet access?
- The fee is $9.95 + tax per night or $16.95 for higher bandwidth. Or complimentary for Kimpton InTouch guests.
- Do you have high-speed wired and/or wireless internet access available?
- Wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel and high-speed wired internet access is available in all guestrooms.
- Do you have a fitness center? What kind of equipment does it have? What are the hours?
- Yes, we have an onsite fitness center equipped with Life Fitness cardio equipment, a weight machine and free weights. It's open around the clock, 24 hours, seven days a week and features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking 5th Avenue for great people watching while you work out.
- Do you offer room service? What are the hours?
- Yes. Room service is available from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm.
- Do you have a business center?
- Yes. Our business center is open 24/7.
- Do you have a pool?
- Yes. We have a beautiful infinity-edged outdoor heated pool.
- Do you have a spa? What are the hours?
- Yes, we have an onsite destination spa, offering a full range of top-tier spa services. The hours are Sunday – Thursday, 10 am – 6 pm and Friday – Saturday, 9 am – 8 pm.
Transportation/Directions
- How do I get to the hotel?

- Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?
- No, but our concierge is happy to assist with any transportation needs. Taxis and shared shuttles are also readily available at the airport. Hotel Palomar is about 10 minutes from San Diego Airport, and the average cost of a cab ride is about $13 each way before tip.
- What are your cross streets?
- Hotel Palomar is on Fifth Avenue at Broadway.
- Do you have onsite parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?
- We do not have onsite parking, but we do have valet parking available for $12 for the first hour, $6 each additional hour, not to exceed $36. Overnight valet parking is available for $36 with in and out privileges. Parking is not included in the room rate, and the price is subject to change.
Reservations
- How do I view my reservation?

- Will your rooms allow rollaways/cribs/playards? Is there a charge?
- All rooms can accommodate cribs, and they are available through the front desk free of charge. We do have a limited number of rollaways available for an additional $25 fee per night (based on availability) and these may be accommodated in select rooms.
- I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?
- Please contact the customer service department at the website you used to make your reservation.
- What is the minimum age requirement to check in to the room?
- 18 years old.
- What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
- We have a 24-hour prior to arrival cancellation policy on most reservations. You must cancel by 6 pm Pacific time the day prior to scheduled arrival to avoid penalty. On certain reservations, a special cancellation may apply.
- Is my ID/passport required at check in?
- Yes, a valid government-issued picture ID is required for check-in.
- What age do kids stay for free?
- Kids 17 and under stay for free in existing bedding when accompanying an adult.
- Do you have connecting rooms?
- Yes, and we also feature spacious flats and penthouses for comfortable family and group travel.
- Do you have ADA rooms?
- Yes; and we welcome you to contact us about any special needs you may have.
- Do you have an early departure fee?
- Yes, we do. The fee is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on whether it's a group block reservation, etc.
Restaurant
- What are the hours of the restaurant/bar/lounge?
- Saltbox Dining & Drinking is open daily. Restaurant dinner hours are:
Breakfast: Daily, 7 – 10 am
Brunch: Saturday – Sunday, 11 am – 2 pm
Lunch: Monday – Friday, 11:30 am – 2 pm
Dinner: Sunday – Thursday, 5:30 – 10 pm
Friday – Saturday, 5:30 – 11 pm
Bar: Daily, 12 noon – 1 am
Bar Menu: Daily, 12 noon – 12 midnight
Rooftop Bar & Lounge hours:
Summer: 12 noon – 1 am
Off Season: 12 noon – 6 pm

- What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?
- All major credit cards are accepted.
Pets
- Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?
- Yes, we happily welcome pets at our downtown San Diego hotel, and for no extra charge and no restrictions as to type, size and number of pets. We do ask you to sign a wavier at check-in stating that you are responsible for any damage caused by the animal. We also ask for your cell-phone number in the event you are out and the animal is causing a disturbance.
- Do you have pet free rooms for those with allergies?
- Yes.
- Do you have pet sitting or dog walking services?
- No, but our concierge is happy to assist you in arranging local pet sitting, dog walking and grooming services.
- How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?
- Many guests simply take their dog to the tree-lined sidewalk just outside our lobby doors, and there is also a little grassy area just up the street at the trolley tracks (at C Street).

- I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, gifts sent to the room. How do I do this?
