Our boutique San Diego hotel is 120 miles from downtown Los Angeles. From Los Angeles and all other points north:

  • From your starting point, merge onto I-5 South
  • Travel on I-5 South to San Diego
  • Take exit 16 for 10th Ave. (downtown)
  • Merge onto CS-163 South
  • Continue on 10th Ave.
  • Turn right onto Broadway
  • Turn right onto 5th Ave.

Downtown San Diego is less than 30 miles from the Mexican border. From the border at San Ysidro or Otay Mesa:

  • Merge onto I-5 North
  • Travel on I-5 North to San Diego
  • Take exit 16B or 6th Ave. toward downtown
  • Turn left onto 6th Ave.
  • Turn right onto Broadway
  • Take the 1st right onto 5th Ave.

To the west of San Diego is the Pacific Ocean and to the east is the desert and, eventually, Arizona.

If you come by boat, the easiest option is to take a taxi from harbor to downtown (it's a 10-minute ride or less, depending on traffic and where you're moored). If you're coming to downtown San Diego from the East, your best route depends on how far north or south of San Diego your starting point is. Most routes lead to I-5, and so you can follow the directions above for either north or south.
